January 9, 2010

At the University of Bristol We offer day schools, evening classes and summer schools in everything from an introduction to Archaeology to looking at human remains, flints, Roman Baths and teaching surveying techniques.

There is something to suit everyone from enthusiasts to professionals and prices start at a very reasonable £36.

There is also an archaeology summer school on offer. This will include two and a half days of classroom tuition, one half-day surveying session, and two full days of practical excavation experience at a nearby archaeological site.  The summer school is an ideal entry-level course for people who are thinking about starting an Archaeology degree (full or part-time) or for people who are simply interested in learning more about the subject.
