Woodland Heritage Training 2009

Workshops on the archaeology, history, ecology and management of woodlands and veteran trees. During 2009 the Biodiversity and Landscape History Research Institute, with Hallam Environmental Consultants, South Yorkshire Biodiversity Research Group, and the Tourism and Environmental Change Research Unit at Sheffield Hallam University, are running a series of workshops to follow up the publication of the highly-acclaimed Woodland Heritage Manual and stemming from 25 years of leading research in this field. The manual was the result of a Heritage Lottery funded project in collaboration with the Woodland Trust, The Forestry Commission and English Heritage to provide information to volunteer groups, individuals and professionals about researching wooded landscapes. Come along and find out. Events suited to all from beginners and keen volunteers to seasoned professionals and academics. This series of workshops carries on these themes, and includes workshops aimed at all levels from beginners to professionals.
