Medieval Castle – Auvergne, France

March 3, 2008

The Saussac 2008 project is aimed at young people interested in working on a medieval castle in France.

After eight years of excavation the fieldwork is organized to reinforce the archaeological remains of the castle and the village and to provide easier access to visitors.

This multicultural encounter is an opportunity to discover the medieval period daily life during this time.Map of France

It is also a chance to discover a typical French region: “Le Velay”, with its local produces and its wonderful landscapes.
