Congratulations on your new online publication – we hope people will take time to read and enjoy it! We live in the Vezere Valley, France – the ‘Cradle of Mankind’ – it amazes us how people ‘parachute’ in for 24 hours, whiz round one or two sites and out again. They tick a box, they’ve ‘done’ Lascaux, they think they’ve seen it all. Slow down! Archaeology shouldn’t be rushed whether visiting, excavating or browsing websites. Enjoy!
